International Council meeting
Sunday 28th January 2007 - 00:00
The Forum finished yesterday with a multitude of cultural events in Uhuru Park, the park of the freedom, where in 1963 the Kenyans celebrated their independence as British colony. Today there has come the hour of making balance. The International Council meets for two days to analyze the present of the World Social Forum and to project the future. The present delegates are the visible heads of their corresponding networks of organizations. Today, criticism, controversies, debates, doubts, proposals, uncertainties, illusions and fears have appeared during the whole day. We, as people that wish this another world, we just can say that they should forget who they are and must remember those who represent. We hope that they should demonstrate us that they know the real meaning of constructing, should switch off theirs mobiles and remain attentive in their chairs listening to their colleagues.
