On December 10, 2007, thanks to the collaboration of the Centre de Cultura Contemporánia (Center for Contemporary Culture) of Barcelona, we presented the documentary film, “The Process of the Possible," Foundation Quepo's first production. We are a new audio-visual NGO, formed with the objective of bringing audio-visual communication together with the social movements and NGOs. After seeing this film, the nearly 300 people who attended broke into excited and enthusiastic applause. The documentary tells the story of the World Social Forum process in its 2007 session in Nairobi, Kenya. The result is 63 minutes of the reality, proposals and challenges of the anti-globalization movement coming together through the more than 60,000 participants from all parts of the world, the founders, and the organized activities.

The documentary was recorded in only seven days of filming - the five days that the WSF lasted and two additional days for the International Council meeting, which is held after every Forum by the delegates of the 154 organizations from all over the world that form the WSF. This was the first time that a camera was allowed in to record the two complete sessions of this meeting. The film crew was very small, with only four persons who worked all of the production, direction, camera and sound.

Since January, free showings have been planned in organizations throughout Spain and abroad, the details of which we will be reporting on our website. We have arranged agreements with various autonomous, national and international TV stations to broadcast the film. We try to have a session immediately following the showings for the debate and discussion of the subjects addressed in the documentary, at which heads of organizations, NGOs and representatives of platforms belonging to the World Social Forum are present.
